Volleyball Game Preview: Lee's Summit Tigers vs. Staley Falcons

The Lee's Summit Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Staley Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lee's Summit came up short against Rockhurst on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Hawklets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Lee's Summit was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Staley came up short against Lee's Summit North on Monday and fell 3-1. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Broncos 25-21 in the first set.

Staley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-17.

Staley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season. As for Lee's Summit, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Lee's Summit suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Staley in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
