            Volleyball Recap: Whitehorse Raiders vs. Monument Valley Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Whitehorse was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell  3-1 to the Monument Valley Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  back in August.
 Whitehorse was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Monument Valley work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-24, 18-25,  25-21.
 Monument Valley was led to victory by  Nizhoni Yazzie and  Nay'Myia Morgan.  Yazzie  had nine  digs and five  aces, while  Morgan  had 13  digs and three  aces. That's the most  digs  Yazzie has posted since back in September.
Whitehorse's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Monument Valley, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-1 record  this season.
 Whitehorse wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  3-0  win against Green River on the 22nd. As for Monument Valley, they have also already played their next contest,  a  2-0  defeat against Rowland Hall on the 17th.
