Football Recap: Gordon Central's Undefeated Season over After Six Games + How To Watch

Gordon Central lost against Fannin County back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors lost 42-21 to the Rebels. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Draden Manis threw for 80 yards on 11 of 19 attempts. TreVeyon Bigby was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards. On the ground, Rylan Goble rushed for 73 yards and two TDs.

Fannin County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryson Cole, who rushed for 194 yards and four scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Cole a new career-high. Another passer making a difference was Nate Oneal, who threw for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Gordon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-1. As for Fannin County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gordon Central will venture away from home to face off against Christian Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fannin County, they will head out to challenge Chattooga at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
