Basketball Recap: Mid-Missouri Homeschool's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's strategy against Illinois C on Friday. The Mid-Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks enjoyed a cozy 57-39 win over the Illinois C Crusaders. Winning may never get old, but the Mavericks sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyle Aulgur, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Aulgur has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Hayes, who went 8 of 17 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Illinois C, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Mid-Missouri HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 49-41 victory against Westlake Christian Academy on the 27th. As for Illinois C, they will challenge Northside L at 5:20 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Northside L is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season.
