Basic lost to Orange Lutheran back in March of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Wolves narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lancers 4-2.

Noah Sebastian looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Troy Southisene and Lyndon Lee did most of the damage at the plate: Southisene went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base, while Lee went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Basic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Orange Lutheran, their record now sits at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Basic will be playing in front of their home fans against Coronado at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange Lutheran, they will head out on the road to take on Bishop Gorman at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
