Football Recap: Riverside Rangers vs. Bowie Bears
If Bowie wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Riverside, they should've done a better job of containing Carlos Rojas III. The Rangers simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Bears 57-13 with plenty of help from Rojas III, who threw for 207 yards and four TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.
Another player making a difference was Derek Armendariz, who gained 170 total yards and two touchdowns. He also put up a rushing touchdown, which was his first of the season.
When it comes to explaining why Bowie lost, don't look at Derek Montanez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 102 yards and one score.
