The Brush Arcs will venture away from home to face off against the Kirtland Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kirtland took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Brush, who comes in off a win.
Brush took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They put the hurt on Cleveland Central Catholic with a sharp 14-0 victory. The Arcs haven't had any issues with the Ironmen recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Braylon Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Brush is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-4 otherwise. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That hit marked the first that he has got this season.
In other batting news, Jayden Amey was incredible, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Keith Feagin, Jr. was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Brush always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Kirtland had taken Crestwood down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Hornets came up short against the Red Devils, falling 7-1. The matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Kirtland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casey Carkhuff, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Brush's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Kirtland, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.
Brush was able to grind out a solid victory over Kirtland when the teams last played back in April of 2018, winning 9-4. Do the Arcs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
