Football Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

Freeport played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Oceanside Sailors, falling 42-18. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Sailors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Oceanside, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Freeport will face off against rival Uniondale on Saturday. Meanwhile, Oceanside is set to take on their familiar foe Hempstead at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
