Basketball Recap: Fostoria Takes a Loss

Fostoria suffered their closest loss since January 11th on Friday. They fell just short of the Otsego Knights by a score of 62-60. While losing is never fun, the Redmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 451st, while the Knights are ranked 166th).

Fostoria's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-10. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Otsego, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Fostoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Otsego, they and Genoa Area will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
