After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lansing Catholic, Lakewood was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Waverly Warriors a 7-0 shutout. Lakewood might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

Lakewood pushed their record up to 4-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three contests. As for Waverly, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10-1.
