Basketball Recap: Berkeley Falls Short Against Ranked Goose Creek

On Tuesday, Berkeley faced Goose Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Berkeley Stags fell just short of the Goose Creek Gators by a score of 52-50. The Stags were probably out for revenge after losing 49-39 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Berkeley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Goose Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

Berkeley is taking a road trip to take on Wando at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Wando: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Berkeley has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
