Basketball Game Preview: Dulaney Lions vs. Eastern Tech Mavericks

The Dulaney Lions will square off against the Eastern Tech Mavericks at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern Tech took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dulaney, who comes in off a win.

Dulaney took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Carver A&T 61-24.

Meanwhile, Eastern Tech suffered their biggest defeat since January 17, 2024 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Pikesville and fell 55-22. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Panthers are ranked 16th).

Eastern Tech's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Dulaney, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything came up roses for Dulaney against Eastern Tech when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 54-23 win. Does Dulaney have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastern Tech turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
