Baseball Recap: Manistee Gets the Win

After losing to Oakridge the last time they met, Manistee decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Chippewas came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chippewas.

Eli Workman was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mason Robinson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Manistee's record now sits at 2-5. As for Oakridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Manistee will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
