Baseball Recap: Garrard County Comes Up Short

Garrard County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Madison Southern on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Golden Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 16-5.

Garrard County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaydon Noe, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Garrard County's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Madison Southern, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrard County will face off against Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison Southern, they will challenge Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
