Volleyball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Aurora Huskies, falling 3-0. The Minutemen have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

While Lexington was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Aurora's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-17.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Aurora, their victory bumped their record up to 20-11.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Lexington and Lakeview will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Minutemen surely won't give up without a fight. Aurora does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
