They blew past Terre Haute South Vigo, posting a 74-18 victory at home. Meanwhile, East Central's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They escaped with a win against Madison by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42. The win was just what East Central needed coming off of a 65-19 loss in their prior match.

Columbus North lost to East Central on the road by a decisive 53-35 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2022.
