Baseball Game Preview: Stratford Knights vs. Loudoun Valley Vikings

The Stratford Knights will square off against the Loudoun Valley Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Stratford will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

While Stratford's win against Cane Bay wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Cobras 4-3 on Friday.

Jachin Davis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Loudoun Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Musselman by a score of 4-3.

Stratford pushed their record up to 12-2-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Loudoun Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
