Softball Game Preview: Seneca Red Hawks vs. Butler Bears

The Seneca Red Hawks will head out to face off against the Butler Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Seneca nor Butler posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Seneca came up short against Valley on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Butler lost 8-1 to DuPont Manual on Friday.

Butler has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Seneca, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
