Basketball Recap: Lyman Memorial Comes Up Short

Lyman Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-60 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tourtellotte Memorial Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one point.

When it comes to explaining why Lyman Memorial lost, don't look at Kevin Botticello. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 21 points and 13 boards. Botticello has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 23 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Conor Hawkins, who posted nine points.

Lyman Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Tourtellotte Memorial, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
