Basketball Recap: Hudson Falls Takes a Loss

Hudson Falls lost against Queensbury back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hudson Falls Tigers took a hard 55-39 fall against the Queensbury Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Spartans are ranked 180th).

Shea Canavan was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 steals for Queensbury. Canavan's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Zehr, who posted six points along with eight boards and five steals.

Hudson Falls dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Queensbury, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Hudson Falls will head out on the road to square off against Glens Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Queensbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Schuylerville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
