Soccer Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Montgomery County was not quite Treutlen's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Treutlen Vikings. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Montgomery County has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Treutlen and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Coming up, Montgomery County will head out on the road to take on Georgia Military College at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Treutlen, they will be playing at home against Hawkinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
