Basketball Game Preview: Neuse Christian Academy Lions vs. St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors

Neuse Christian Academy is 2-8 against St. Thomas More Academy since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The two teams will face off at 4:45 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Neuse Christian Academy beat Friendship Christian 41-33.

Neuse Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Lyla Lindstrom, who posted 22 points and six steals. Lindstrom's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Sarant, who put up six points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, St. Thomas More Academy didn't have too much trouble with Thales Academy Rolesville on Thursday as they won 50-32.

St. Thomas More Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-7.
