Softball Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton was the 12-3 winner over Mt. Shasta when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Hamilton fell just short of Mt. Shasta by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hamilton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Esmerelda Castillo, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hamilton now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mt. Shasta, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Hamilton has already played their next match, a 13-3 loss against Gridley on the 26th. As for Mt. Shasta, they will venture away from home to face off against Central Valley at 4:00 p.m. on April 2. Mt. Shasta's pitchers better be ready for this one: Central Valley has averaged an impressive 14.2 runs per game this season.
