Soccer Game Preview: Glenbard East vs. Plainfield North

The Glenbard East Rams will challenge the Plainfield North Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Glenbard East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Glenbard East's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Willowbrook, sneaking past 1-0. The win continues a trend for Glenbard East in their matchups with Willowbrook: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Plainfield North entered their tilt with Bolingbrook on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Raiders. Plainfield North's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Plainfield North's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Glenbard East, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3-2.

Glenbard East might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Plainfield North in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
