Softball Recap: Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Takes a Loss

If Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin was riding high fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Chrisman on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils lost 12-6 to the Lexington Minutemen on Saturday. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Minutemen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Gentry Elson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Draycee Nelson, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Lexington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Coming up, Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will challenge Prairie Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Lexington, they will square off against Tremont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
