Soccer Recap: Yelm Takes a Loss

Yelm lost against Olympia back in April of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tornados lost 6-1 to the Bears. While losing is never fun, Yelm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Olympia are ranked 14th).

Yelm's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Olympia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-1-2 record this season.

Yelm will take on Emerald Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olympia, they will square off against Spanaway Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanaway Lake's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
