Soccer Recap: Grapevine Finds Playoff Glory Versus Monterey

It's playoff time, and Grapevine had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Monterey Plainsmen a 1-0 shutout on Friday. Grapevine haven't had any issues with Monterey recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Grapevine's one-goal win came courtesy of Tatum Harig, who's now up to six this season.

The win got Grapevine back to even at 10-10-4. As for Monterey, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5-3.

Looking ahead, Grapevine will square off against Argyle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Argyle will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Grapevine surely won't give up without a fight. Monterey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
