Volleyball Game Preview: Pomona Catholic Pacers vs. Mary Star of the Sea Stars

Pomona Catholic is 0-6 against Mary Star of the Sea since September of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Pacers will face off against the Stars at 6:00 p.m. Pomona Catholic will be strutting in after a win while Mary Star of the Sea will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Pomona Catholic sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over St. Genevieve. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pacers.

Pomona Catholic was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-98), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 13-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Mary Star of the Sea came up short against Chadwick on Saturday and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Stars in their meetings with the Dolphins: they've now lost three in a row.

Pomona Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-17.
