Basketball Game Preview: Spring Valley Grizzlies vs. Faith Lutheran Crusaders

The Spring Valley Grizzlies will square off against the Faith Lutheran Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Spring Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Coronado, who was ranked 13th at the time (Spring Valley was ranked 24th). Spring Valley had just enough and edged Coronado out 47-45.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Faith Lutheran). They blew past Palo Verde 67-41 on Wednesday. With the Crusaders ahead 44-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

The victory got Faith Lutheran back to even at 11-11. As for Spring Valley, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.

Spring Valley ended up a good deal behind Faith Lutheran when the teams last played back in February of 2024, losing 52-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Faith Lutheran's Kloe Abdalla, who went 6 for 8 en route to 15 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
