Basketball Recap: Geren Kenney Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Roland-Story

There's no place like home for Perry, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 victory over the Roland-Story Norsemen on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bluejays have posted since December 5, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Geren Kenney, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Myers, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Perry has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Roland-Story, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Perry Bluejays face off against the Saydel Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roland-Story has already played their next matchup (against Carroll), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
