Basketball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Carlisle's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Carlisle unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 58-46 to the St. Margaret's Scotties. The Chiefs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scotties apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Paula Carrillo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Margaret's, putting up 23 points. Carrillo's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Jade Wright was another key player, earning ten points.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for St. Margaret's, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle will take on Virginia Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Margaret's, they will square off against Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
