Softball Recap: Saddleback Victorious

Saddleback not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2025 (when they won 22-12). They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Estancia Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Roadrunners: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 0-0 defeat.

Leslie Enriquez and Savannah Ruiz did most of the damage at the plate: Enriquez went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple, while Ruiz went 2-for-4 with three runs and one triple. That's the most runs Enriquez has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Sophia Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Saddleback always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Saddleback's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Estancia, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Saddleback has already played their next matchup, a 26-5 defeat against Bolsa Grande on the 17th. As for Estancia, they will square off against Segerstrom at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
