Softball Recap: Hylton Takes a Loss

Hylton suffered their closest loss since April 16, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Forest Park Bruins by a score of 9-7. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bruins earlier this season, when they won 7-5.

Alexandra Newton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayel Williams, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hylton's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Forest Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Hylton nor Forest Park have any future games scheduled.
