Volleyball Recap: Tishomingo County Takes a Loss

Tishomingo County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kossuth Aggies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Tishomingo County took Kossuth into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 17-25, 15-11.

Tishomingo County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kossuth, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1-2.

Looking ahead, Tishomingo County will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Booneville at 6:00 p.m. As for Kossuth, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Ripley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
