Football Recap: McClain Takes a Loss

McClain extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They came up short against the Miami Trace Panthers, falling 41-20. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

As for Miami Trace, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 32.3 points this season.

Julian Baker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 222 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Baron Phipps was another key player, rushing for 86 yards on only seven carries.

Looking ahead, McClain will head out on the road to take on Chillicothe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Miami Trace, they will be playing at home against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Ironman/Ironladies have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
