Volleyball Game Preview: Troy Trojans vs. North Penn-Liberty Mountie

Troy hasn't had much luck against North Penn-Liberty recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will welcome the Mountie at 7:30 p.m. Troy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Troy was able to grind out a solid victory over Athens, taking the game 3-1.

Troy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, North Penn-Liberty suffered their biggest loss since October 15, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Wellsboro, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Mountie in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost four in a row.

North Penn-Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Troy, their win bumped their record up to 13-2-1.

Troy took their victory against North Penn-Liberty in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Mountie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
