Washington came tearing into Monday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Musselman Applemen a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Washington got a massive performance out of Brayden Edwards, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Robby Lopez was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI and one stolen base.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Musselman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-20.

Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Musselman, they are taking a road trip to take on Moorefield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
