Softball Recap: West Lincoln Bears vs. Vicksburg Gators
West Lincoln was the 12-6 winner over Vicksburg when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. West Lincoln came up short against Vicksburg on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Lincoln saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryleigh Purdy, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Even though they lost, West Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests.
