Baseball Recap: Terra Nova Drops Highest Score of Season Against El Camino

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Terra Nova). They blew past the El Camino Colts 16-6 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aiden James was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Terra Nova got a massive performance out of Joey Donati, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Evan Wilson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Terra Nova always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .558. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as El Camino only posted an OBP of .344.

The win snapped Terra Nova's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-5-1 record. As for El Camino, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Terra Nova will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Colts: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
