            Baseball Recap: Aledo Bearcats vs. Granbury Pirates        
        
		
        
        
            Aledo won the last time they faced Granbury and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Bearcats came out on top against the Pirates by a score of  7-2.
Aledo got a great performance from  Grayson McKelvey as he  struck out seven batters over  4.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits (and only one walk). McKelvey has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Landon Barnes was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Noah Graham was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Aledo's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 18-6. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Granbury, their defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-6.
Aledo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
