Basketball Recap: Hyannis Takes a Loss

Hyannis lost against Morrill two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hyannis Longhorns took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morrill Lions.

Morrill can attribute much of their success to Allison Ott, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Those 13 points gave Ott a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madisyn Carrizales, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 14 points.

Hyannis' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Morrill, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Hyannis will square off against Ainsworth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hyannis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Morrill has already played their next game, a 39-32 win against Crawford on the 24th.
