Basketball Recap: Julian Stromski Key Part of Team Effort in Trailblazers Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Torrington walked away with it. They took down the Mountain View Buffalos 52-37 on Thursday. This was payback for the Trailblazers, who suffered a 56-47 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Torrington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julian Stromski led the charge by going 6-for-12 to rack up 20 points. Stromski is becoming a predictor of Torrington's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 4-1 (and 8-10 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Mac Hibben, who posted ten points and seven boards.

The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. Mountain View has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.
