Baseball Game Preview: Robinson Maroons vs. South Knox Spartans

The Robinson Maroons will take on the South Knox Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Robinson easily dispatched Flora on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Maroons fell just short of Edwards County by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Maroons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, South Knox lost 15-1 to North Posey on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Robinson fell to 4-1. As for South Knox, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
