Soccer Recap: Saguaro Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, Saguaro finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the Cactus Shadows Falcons by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sabercats of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2018.

Their goal came courtesy of Jocelyn Moore, who's now up to nine this season.

Saguaro's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-6-3. As for Cactus Shadows, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7-1.

Saguaro wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 loss against Arcadia on the 5th. As for Cactus Shadows, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Marcos de Niza on the 5th.
