Softball Recap: Port Huron Takes a Loss

Port Huron couldn't beat Clawson on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Red Hawks fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in April.

Riley Thompson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Port Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Clawson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Port Huron will challenge Memphis at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clawson has already played their next contest (against Mott), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
