Baseball Recap: Lake Worth Comes Up Short

Lake Worth extended their losing streak to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 4-19-1. They lost 10-0 to the Burkburnett Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Tuesday.

As for Burkburnett, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-16. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Burkburnett's part, they got a big performance out of Adrian Arias, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The Bulldogs are undefeated when Arias posts two or more runs, but 6-16 otherwise. Cooper Riley was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lake Worth will take on Bridgeport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burkburnett, they will challenge Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
