The St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Titans will take on the Lockland Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place suffered their biggest loss since December 2, 2023 last Wednesday. They were beaten by Seven Hills 54-15. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.
Despite their defeat, St. Bernard-Elmwood Place saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Emauri Jackson, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and four blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Jackson hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazlyn T, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lockland had to suffer through a rough 46-6 loss at the hands of DePaul Cristo Rey. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lockland has scored all season.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Lockland, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place took their victory against Lockland when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 40-19. With St. Bernard-Elmwood Place ahead 31-3 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
