Preview: Salt Lake Academy Griffins vs. Uintah River
Salt Lake Academy has been on the road for six straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on Uintah River at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Salt Lake Academy's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Uintah River's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Last Tuesday, Salt Lake Academy escaped with a win against Non Varsity Opponent by the margin of a single free throw, 33-32.
Maci Nell was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Patrick, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Uintah River lost to Salt Lake Academy at home by a decisive 39-22 margin back in December of 2023.
Salt Lake Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Uintah River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
