Basketball Recap: Blue Springs Takes a Loss

Blue Springs lost against Staley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Springs Wildcats fell 74-63 to the Staley Falcons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (62), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Blue Springs has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Staley, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Blue Springs Wildcats duke it out with the Lee's Summit Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee's Summit knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Blue Springs likes a good challenge. As for Staley, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lee's Summit West at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Staley's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Lee's Summit West has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
