Softball Recap: St. Brendan's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Brendan entered their tilt with LaBelle on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls with a sharp 13-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Sabres, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Rachel Rodriguez was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Taylor Nielson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Rodriguez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: St. Brendan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. St. Brendan is a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

St. Brendan now has a winning record of 7-6. As for LaBelle, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

St. Brendan has already played their next matchup, a 6-2 victory against Cooper City on the 15th. LaBelle will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Avon Park at 7:30 p.m. on March 25th.
